The Nougat Cart
“What is No-Gut?” asked Best Badger, who was looking through Flossie’s recipe book.
“It’s pronounced Noo-Gah” Flossie answered. “Originally it came from Europe but it needs lots of egg whites to make it. And honey!”
“That means lots of eggs. We should ask the ducks” suggested Best Badger.
“Certainly not” said Flossie. “I’ve already asked some chickens to visit. They might even stay if they like it here.”
“What about the honey?” asked Badger thinking nervously about the stings he’d received the last time he raided a hive.
Flossie smiled. “I’ve asked the bees nicely” she said. “It’s all on special order.”
